New Data Shows Need for Affordable Housing on the Rise

July 9, 2020

A recent report published by the San Diego Housing Federation, the California Housing Partnership and San Diego Councilmember Chris Ward shows that over 142k households in the county do not have access to an affordable home, an increase of 3.35% from the previous year.

The report also details how low-income households are paying more and more on rent, effectively shrinking available funds that can be used to pay for other basic necessities like food, transportation and health care.
